ERA

ERA is an Endometrium Receptivity Array.

Indication

  • Repeated implantation failure
  • Unexplained IVF / ICSI failure.

  • It is a study to exactly decide to whether the endometrium is receptive for an embryo or not so as to decide whether embryo implantation take place during that cycle or not. Generally, implantation takes place on 21 st day of menstrual cycle. The only tool to look for endometrium receptivity until now is sonography & Doppler only. ERA analyze the endometrium receptivity status from the molecular viewpoint by analyzing the expression of a group of genes responsible for this function. For this endometrium, a biopsy is to be taken on 21st day or day LH + 7 or after 5 days of progesterone in a substitute cycle.
